Our Gaagal Wanggaan (Beach South) Tour offers a 3.5 hr scenic bush & beach walk through Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) National Park which is Aboriginal Owned.

Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm

Embrace the serene, idyllic Wawaa (bush) & Gaagal (ocean) surroundings. Listen, learn & discover the rich culture & heritage of the Gumbaynggirr people from your local Aboriginal guide.

Learn about the delicate eco systems within our National Park, our methods and way of life which connect us as one to the wajaarr (earth), biindarray (rivers) & gaagal (ocean). Hear about our natural landscapes, the importance of preserving jagun (country) &
protecting our endangered & critically endangered species within the
park traditionally.

Be connected as one to the wajaarr (earth), biindarray (rivers) and gaagal (ocean). The natural environment is our cultural landscape, our view is holistic this is our food source, our medicine, our ceremony, our way of life. Listen to our local Aboriginal guides as they share the knowledge of the Gumbaynggirr people.

This tour runs on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm.

Group sizes. This tour runs with a minimum of 5 people to a maximum group of 60 people.

Booking deadline is two days prior to the day of the tour at 5pm.

Meeting Place: Tour Guides will meet participants at Scott’s Head Reserve – Opposite the Ocean Street Diner at 6 Short St, Scott’s Head and escort them to  Gaagal Wanggaan NP

Children: GWNP Tour is not suitable for children under 10 years.

Fitness:  Must be Moderate Fitness as GWNP is a 3.5 Hour Trek.
